The Bible says that Jesus knew what was in men's hearts. A good pastor takes time to listen to people, learn as many of their names as possible, and takes a keen interest in their everyday activities. The good shepherd leads the sheep, "leading them out" (John 10:3) and guiding them with clarity and vision. Pastor King is a leader with a heart of conviction, integrity, and consistency, representing the essential virtues of pastors. He is the founding Pastor and has been the Shepherd of Full Gospel Fellowship Church for 28 years.

Pastor King's journey began in Vernon, Texas, where he was born to Richard and Rosie Mae King. His upbringing instilled in him a genuine concern for those who are indigent in Spirit. He uses his leadership role to share the Gospel with his fellow workers, colleagues, and those he serves daily. Today, he continues to live victorious through preaching, serving, and teaching God's people how to apply the word and live a Holy life. Pastor King's strength comes through one of his favorite scriptures, Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you."

Pastor King is devoted and committed to bringing change in all communities and through the word of God to the Full Gospel Fellowship Church. Pastor King agrees with a quote from the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., "In this, we find we are to do something about the brokenhearted, poor, unemployed, the captive, the blind, and the bruised." As Luke 4:18 says, "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me Because He has anointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor: He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those oppressed.”

Pastor Willie King is a Dallas Baptist University graduate pursuing a Master's in Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to the lovely Dr. Ketra L. Davenport-King, and they have a beautiful blended family with four children and nine grandchildren. The anointing of God is on his life as he strives to touch the lives of others and bring them closer to God. He is an example of the scripture; he professes, “Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established” (Proverbs 16:3).
